Shannon Emory
Owner & Independent Insurance Agent
For more than 30 years, Shannon Emory has built her career around a simple belief: insurance should be personal, understandable, and designed around the people it is meant to protect.
A Gonzaga University graduate and longtime Pacific Northwest resident, Shannon began her insurance career with MetLife Auto & Home in 1995. What started as a career in insurance grew into one of the most successful agencies in her territory. During her years with MetLife, Shannon built the largest MetLife Auto & Home agency in the western territory, west of the Mississippi, earned recognition as a top sales agent multiple years in a row, and received numerous agency production awards.
But for Shannon, success has never been measured by production alone. It has always been about the families, individuals and businesses who trust her to help protect the things they have worked hard to build.
In 2021, Shannon took the next step in her career and became an independent insurance agent under AAA Washington. The move gave her agency the ability to offer clients more choice by working with multiple insurance companies rather than relying on a single carrier. Today, Shannon Emory Insurance helps clients with auto, home, umbrella, rental and vacation properties, recreational vehicles, boats, motorcycles, classic cars, life insurance, business insurance and other specialty coverage.
Her combination of experience and personal service has created relationships that often span many years and multiple generations of the same family. Shannons’ clients regularly describe her as knowledgeable and trustworthy and praise her team for providing “quality service, and a personal touch.” Others simply describe Shannon and her team as “absolute professionals.”
That personal approach is intentional. Shannon believes clients should understand their insurance, know why they have the coverage they carry and feel comfortable asking questions. Her goal is not simply to sell a policy. It is to become a trusted insurance resource who can help clients evaluate their options, protect against financial risk and adjust their coverage as life changes. Her commitment to excellence continues today. Based on her 2024 production, Shannon earned AAA Washington’s Sales Conference Qualifier recognition, adding another achievement to a career already marked by decades of high performance.
Outside the office, family remains at the center of Shannon’s life. She and her husband, Tom, have two daughters, two sons-in-law, two granddaughters, three dogs and a large extended family filled with brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. When she is not working or attending a family event, Shannon loves spending time outdoors and enjoying the beautiful lakes and warm-weather activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
For Shannon, protecting families is more than a profession. After more than three decades in insurance, it is still the reason she loves what she does.
